Event #274 -- "Random 1-shot"

Event Overview:

Hello everyone! This event was selected from our Nomination Megathread, which you can check (and nominate your own ideas) here! -- If you'd like to see your nominations appear in these threads make sure to drop your ideas in the thread linked above!

 

For this week, as suggested by Loccstan we'll be taking into a challenge that GFL hasn't tried before. For this event we have 9 maps to play, some of them old, some of them new, all of them will have one unique twist! Read the Special Kickers section of this thread to find out. These maps were picked following the next procedure:

 

I grabbed the text file that includes all maps in our public nomlist (390 maps) and put them through Random.org, I randomized the list 5 times and picked the first 9 maps at the top of the list, these are the maps that were picked:

• Saturday April 16th @ 4:00PM CDT.

PLEASE REFER TO THE TIME LISTED IN THE STEAM GROUP AS THE ABSOLUTE TIME AT WHICH THE EVENT STARTS!

Notice:

• Events are scheduled in our Steam group, however, we also always announce over at our Discord server when the event begins.

Special Kickers:

• All maps will be played with classic GFL settings (ammo amounts may vary between 800 and 6,000 per map).
• All maps will have a 1:10 minute warmup period at the start while everyone joins, after this warmup period has ended we will have one shot at winning all maps (meaning maps like Westersand have to be beaten 5-0, Wanderers Palace has to be beaten 4-0, etc). If a round is lost we will move onto the next map.

VIP Rewards:

• Winners of any three maps with one week of big V.I.P.
• Winners of all maps will win two weeks of big V.I.P.

Rules:

• This event should be of chill nature. If the chill flow starts disrupting the tryhard nature of the event then it'll have to stop.
• Regular server rules will apply for this event as usual.
• Sitting in spec unless you're a spectating admin is not allowed.
• Every map will be played for 75 minutes. This amount of time should be enough to win all stages of each map.
