(APPLICATIONS OPEN) Yarrternative: a Curated Musical Experience

Hello,

 

I am Floopyhiggle, owner and operator of the Yarrternative playlist.  My work was recently featured in the NYtimes article Yarrternative: The Musical Phenomena Storming the Seven Seas.  "What would a 21st century pirate listen to?" is the question at the core of this journey.  Today I invite all of you to sail the seas of music with me, unless your taste sucks of course.  Please submit music you believe fits the following criteria, and as one with superior musical taste, I will grade your choices as well as your lifestyle.  If you are lucky, your song may even make it onto the playlist.  Good Luck.

 

Songs must be booty shakable in at least the following situations:

• scrubbing the poop deck
• hauling booty (on the dancefloor)
• yachting the seven seas
• scrubbing my poop deck
• drinking, serving, or spilling grog
