Future of Prop Hunt

Hello all!

So it has been about a week since @Salad and I began "revamping" the Prop Hunt server. While not much has changed in terms of the server itself and feature it has, we have seen a massive change in the community. Over the course of this week we have flushed out more of our staff list. Bringing on seasoned admins from a few other servers ( @zurenea, @DaPainWayne, @Auralanity) as well as bringing on new staff ( @Zanee621, and @wolfaldron) to the team! On top of this, the server has seemed to get a foothold. We have seen the server bring back old regulars and draw in new players to the community as well. 

In terms of the future, a lot is being planned for the server. The current version of Prop Hunt that we are using is a bit outdated, we are currently looking into more updated and active versions of the mode. One version in particular is looking very promising, the next steps for us will be to start putting it all together on a separate server for now. Starting from the ground up will help us to have more of a clear slate to launch on and will HOPEFULLY help prevent major issues from arising. While we get the worked on I will be working on thinning the live server down to make download size more manageable and hopefully help with player retention.

Now, I've talked about this a bit but, with these changes I want to take the opportunity to "rebrand". I want to make the server feel better, more uniform and appealing, if that makes sense. Thinking about how to do this I decided to try to find a theme, the theme that I consistently got stuck on was LoFi style. The relaxed dark theme of GFL fits the visual style well, and beyond that it all fits what I would like to see the server become. A chill place for people from all over, GFL or not, to come and hang out. A lax game that allows for moments of banter and comradery.

I am excited to continue to move forward, and foster a great community!

Happy to see population increasing, and all it took was a bit of dedication to hopping on the server. Excited to work on some of these changes with ya and give the players something fresh and new! Thanks to all who have been helping out and joined to play on the server 😄
