New Melee-based Role


Something that I had an idea for recently is adding in another melee-based role. People have been asking for Ravenous to be added back due to its unique gameplay style, but it hasn't been added back due to bugs and being a detriment for the Traitors. As a compromise, I could add in a custom role that would be similar to it, while it would also function similarly to the Mad Bomber.


Current ideas I have for it:

  • Spawns with 150 HP and 30 armor (may be adjusted if too weak / strong)
  • Spawns with an axe that does 50 damage per hit, gains a 50% speed boost while the axe is active
  • Axe has an ability that lets it use RMB to teleport (will make a sound after teleporting, and becomes temporarily unable to deal damage)
  • Kills heal for 25 health
  • Plays a unique sound upon drawing the axe
  • Can only deal damage with the axe
  • Starts with climb equipment (allows for wall climb / no fall damage)


I also have been considering giving it a gimmick where kills give it charges for its own defib that would allow it to spawn in beefier versions of the Infected zombies, but they wouldn't be able to infect other players. However, I am not sure if this would be interesting enough to play around as it would essentially make it another Infected-style role.


Flaregun AOE Removal


I have also heard about people wanting to remove the Flaregun's AOE effect. Due to the Flaregun being added to the Detective shop, it does have the side effect of people unintentionally burning other players when attempting to burn a corpse or attacking people with it. With the ammo buff that Flaregun received, I don't believe it would be much of a detriment if the AOE effect was removed.
