It had to happen one day, but it's still a shame.

 

I never expected for gaming to change my life so much, but GFL has done just that. I'm glad to have found the CS:GO MG server in 2015 and for @Infantry to have invited me into the community.

I love all of the friends I made here and hope you are prospering in your lives wherever they may lead you.

I was big on GFL when the Hide and Seek/SCP Breach servers were still around and still pop In once In a while to play Zombie Escape In CS2. Sucks that another big name group Is dying, wish community servers weren't In a death spiral as of late.

Been playing ZE for over 10 years, this is a sad announcement but I'm at least happy to see the ZE community continue on at least. Best of luck to all the other server managers/hosts on other games though!

Haven't been involved in ZE for a long time now, but it's a shame to see another community I remember from CS:S winding down. Of course there was all the split/merge drama back then and I see that CS2 ZE will continue which is great, but it's just another step towards erasure of a piece of gaming history with the steady end of CS:GO ZE.

 

Thank you for what GFL has done over the years for zombie escape as a whole.

It's been a long time and honestly not completely unexpected. It has been a long time since I really interacted with the forums but I always check every few months to see how everyone is doing. I have met some of my closest friends through GFL and for that I am grateful, even if I haven't spoken to you in a long time I have enjoyed spending time with everyone! 

To see so many of us all changing throughout the years and how everyone has grown as a person has been amazing and I'll miss you all. ❤️

 

@TomRiddle initially got me playing the servers in like 2014/2015 and @denros was first to get me to actually talk outside of 1v1/surf. Thank you and love you all.

i was 13 when i joined GFL for the first time. i am now 21.

 

i have been a part of GFL for over a third of my life. not always active/staff, since i left staffing a few years ago, but the memories are still there for me to appreciate. this place had a HUGE impact on making me who i am now. even though it's mostly symbolic for me at this point, since i've been gone a few years, it cannot be overstated how hard it is to see this. it's a big reality check.

 

i hope lots of you stick around in the discord, it'll be nice to reminisce.

 

for everyone i ever played with, staffed with, or worked under me:
i'm going to miss you guys, and i have already. it's too long to write a full list but i promise you that i haven't forgotten any of you. even if we had disagreements or any kind of negative relationship, you still hold a special place in my heart.

Thank you to all the wonderful people I had the opportunity to meet in these last 10-11 years that I've been a part of GFL. Many memories I'll cherish and friends that stuck around to this day. Despite having been one of GFL's most controversial member even when part of the staff team, I'm glad to have had the guidance I received that shaped me and helped me improve past this community and stay with me forever. This is very corny and getting too long, but I am genuinely thankful to everyone I have met here and all the amazing people I still hold close and very dear to me.

 

May everyone have wonderful, happy and successful lives here on out and stay safe, wherever you end up and no matter what you decide to do.

I've been in this community for a very short time, especially on this forum, but the fun I've had after long workdays is invaluable. I only play on the Zombie Escape server.

As I mentioned earlier, I've been here for a short time, and although I don't have experience managing CS servers, I do have experience running game servers with thousands of people. If I had the expertise and the qualified staff, I would have offered to be your partner, so you wouldn't have to leave your position. I would have tried to make this sustainable or at least profitable.

Why would I do it? First, out of gratitude, and second, out of empathy. It must be very painful to say goodbye in some way to what you built with love.

A hug, unknown friend. I am very grateful to you and to everyone who makes so much fun possible.

About time, The overall user experience(Nah just mine, I haven't even been paying attention since long before Hns Died) has gone down considerably in the last couple of years

#Banning of Pigeon was an inside job(Actually had to be and you can't deny it, He was just a victim in what was the final nail in his coffin, People had a million other reasons but you decided that ban reason be the most bogus one)

#I still hold a grudge against that dude with a yellow role color who's name I forgot because he was a condescending douche about it during the great H&S Admin purge(If you're still around, you know who you are) And the grudge is only there because of your attitude and poor handling of that situation in our dms 😉

#Liloz was a pretty cool dude despite the hate he got years ago during the days of "Her" being manager for hns(But ong that was an awful time), He was one of the few higher ups that didn't have a stick so far up their arse and personally I found him a joy to talk to 

#Aurora seemed pretty chill(If you go by a diff name by now, sorry) Although I didn't really know her, Mbs always said she was pretty cool, but I never had anything negative about them to say

These are just a few things I never got to say before, hell even if someone feels like deleting this because this looks like a spew of garbage, so be it! at least one of the random few will see it and that's good enough for me, I meant to have my final message back in late 2021 but I since this is probably the last time I can physically make a post, I did!

I hold no ill will to this community, Majority of people who see this won't even know who I am, But I have to say It was fun community to be a part of until the fun ran out and I learned how awful some people could be, bleh gross

I’ve spent almost a decade worth of my life on this community. Lots of memories made, friends made, and saw some come + some go.

 

Feels really strange seeing this community that was in most part of my life shut down. 
 

I’m not really active in Discord as I was way back then, not because life got busy, but because I’m a fool. I absolutely have no clue what I’m supposed to do in life. My discord is “benroy” for those who knows me, feel free to add me.
