Rules

Overview

1. Be respectful, this means no racism, sexism or other forms of discrimination
2. No mic or chat spamming
   • Soundboards are generally permitted if they are used in moderation, do not interrupt leaders, and are not excessively loud
3. No advertising other servers or Discords
   • General link sharing is allowed
4. No hacking or scripting
5. Do not abuse exploits, and don't go telling the whole server about ones you find
6. No trolling. This includes any intentional acts such as:
   • False leading
   • Misusing items
   • Boosting zombies
   • Edging: Positioning yourself to be infected and cause chain infections
   • Zombie inflating: Intentionally becoming zombie
   • Anything else that can reasonably be considered intentionally detrimental to the team
     Certain maps may design gameplay around trolling, some of these rules may be more relaxed on them.
7. Do not evade punishments on alt accounts

Full Ruleset

In the spirit of keeping a concise rules list that everyone reads in full, not every specific rule is listed above. However, you can find the rest below.

1. "Zombie leading" will be considered spam if speaking over a human leader, consider using team text chat instead
2. Intentionally "baiting" slurs is considered a similar violation as using the actual slurs
3. Even if not intentionally trolling, items can be an important aspect of ZE maps, ignoring directions or constant mistakes may also lead to a punishment
4. Be mindful of speaking over an active leader, especially if you don't have anything important to say
5. Only English is allowed in voice chat, else things can get chaotic
   • All languages are still allowed in text chat
6. Avoiding the AFK detection using any form of automation is not allowed
   • Even manually avoiding AFK detection has its limits, doing so for an extended period of time may lead to warnings/kicks
7. Shooting caged zombies during a boss fight may be subject to admin action
8. You may be required to take shooting bosses seriously (no unnecessary extended breaks, intentional bad weapon choice etc)
   • This is only enforced when necessary on DPS sensitive bosses
9. Talking politics on the server isn't recommended as it can very quickly get divisive, you may be asked to stop at admin discretion
10. No false reporting
11. Do not attempt to impersonate staff/plugins through a custom tag or any other means
12. If warnings are clearly given in advance to not do something (e.g. early trigger), you may be immediately punished even on a first mistake
13. Delaying rounds any longer than a couple minutes without valid reason (not winnable, no gameplay progressing) is not allowed
14. Extremely inappropriate behavior - including but not limited to pedophilia, sexual harassment, doxxing, or death threats - will result in full removal from the community
15. You may be punished even as a boosted zombie, if we have reason to believe you intentionally cooperated

This is an actively growing list, not everything may be listed. ZE can be dynamic and "Admins have the final say" still applies. You may submit an appeal if you believe you received an unfair punishment.
