[CS:GO] Combat Statistics Web Page

Hey, I am currently in the process of implementing a statistics webpage for our CS:GO combat servers. This will be a long-term replacement for GameMe, which hasn't been updated in forever and looks/feels terrible. GameMe also logs things using RCon, which is not ideal at all.

The alternative solution to GameMe that we are looking to implement is:

  • Kento's Ranking system on the servers tracking data to separate databases.
  • A webpage that allows users to view and track statistics, including points and ranks.

This request is for the webpage that will connect to the ranking databases and display data, and will need PHP.

What I currently have:

I currently have a very cool PHP stats page that I would like optimized and edited to be made higher quality! This is forked from a Russian repository, so documentation is entirely in Russian. I've tried to translate a bit of the ReadMe to English so you can spin up a local instance for testing and development.

I have spun up a random installation of the repository, it doesn't work very well, but it may serve as a quick introduction to what we'll be working with from stock: https://gostats.gflclan.com/csgostats/

Here is an example from another community and how they have it implemented: https://kebabnation.xyz/stats/

What I need done:

This web page, as it stands, is not very good. The English version is not entirely in English, the menus are janky, things just don't work very well. Additionally, it also does not fit GFL's design language entirely. The entire project needs optimisation and quality checking, as well as a little visual face-lift.

For launch, I would like help with the following:

The list above is a very brief overview of what needs to be done, apologies for the vagueness. I'm interested in making a Trello board that keeps track of tasks, issues, and requests - this will be a fairly long process with many people involved in terms of requests and guidance!

What can be offered to assist development:

Apart from the usual stuff GFL has to offer, here are some things I can personally offer to help make development easier and quicker:

  • Access to a MariaDB server for testing,
  • Access to a CS:GO server with all the plugins configured, (might be useful to check stats or create more test data with player info)
  • Access to my personal development VPS with NGINX and an A record for SSL (only if you absolutely need it - developers are eligible for their own development VPS on behalf of GFL),
  • Access to the GitLab repository to fork, maintain, modify, and PR.

If you have any questions or if I've missed details, feel free to shoot me a message in the developer requests channel in the GFL Teams Discord server!
