Event #282 -- "yeah hi"

Event Overview:

Hello everyone! This event was selected from our Nomination Megathread, which you can check (and nominate your own ideas) here! -- If you'd like to see your nominations appear in these threads make sure to drop your ideas in the thread linked above!

 

For this week, as suggested by local favorite Australian man we'll be taking a look at three maps that are quite iconic for GFL. You know two of them because by this point in time they are considered classics, but one of them is a Surf map that I consider to be quite underplayed. All in all this should make up for a nice and short event.

 

This event, as well as "A Hobbit's Quest" by Roasted L were tied for top most voted nomination, so I put both nominations through Random.org and as you may have guessed, it was this event that won.

• Saturday June 18th @ 4:00PM CDT.

PLEASE REFER TO THE TIME LISTED IN THE STEAM GROUP AS THE ABSOLUTE TIME AT WHICH THE EVENT STARTS!

Notice:

• Events are scheduled in our Steam group, however, we also always announce over at our Discord server when the event begins.

Special Kickers:

• Secret ending must be completed on Silent Hill, but only 5 floors will be played.
• Only one ending of Toaster is required to move on. If people would like to attempt a new round then that'll be allowed too.

VIP Rewards:

• Winners of any two maps with one week of big V.I.P.
• Winners of all maps will win two weeks of big V.I.P.

Rules:

• This event should be of chill nature. If the chill flow starts disrupting the tryhard nature of the event then it'll have to stop.
• Regular server rules will apply for this event as usual.
• Sitting in spec unless you're a spectating admin is not allowed.
• Every map will be played for 120 minutes. This amount of time should be enough for each map.
