Hello! In order to help keep track of changes, this thread will include all major and minor(minus for bug fixes) changes done to the server. This includes enemies, perks, classes, etc from this point onward.

 

06-19/2022:

 

Enemies:

 

New:

Elites:

  • Added new Elite, The Deathslinger. Has a ranged attack that will rapidly pull the target into melee range, but has incredibly low HP. Note: Has no head hitbox since mod author couldn't be bothered, hence the Low HP. First appears on Wave 6. Rare spawn chance.
  • Added New Elite, The Flygare. A flying zombie that can use a long range spit or a close range melee attack. The Iron Bars of the bed it is inside can prevent damage similar to Faster's Head Cage. First appears on Wave 4. Medium Spawn Chance.
  • Added New Elite, The Spitter. A somewhat fast zombie that can use a long range spit attack or charge in for a close range melee attack. First appears starting on Wave 3.  Medium Spawn Chance.

 

Bosses:

  • Added new Wave 5 Boss, The Executioner. Alternates between a melee attack and a long ranged attack. Can also leave Deadly Trails around the map that rapidly damages players upon touch.

 

Balance Changes:

 

Elites:

  • Reduced Spawn Rate of Weepers and slightly reduced their HP.
  • Slight damage reduction of Suiciders. 
  • Halved Hp of Boogeymen. They were simply acting as massive unfun bulletsponges and were lacking in any form of real threat, which teamed up with other bullet sponges to lead to a very unsatisfying death. Additionally, as they cannot take headshot damage, their HP was artificially inflated even further. In return, they will now always spawn with the Frenzy mutation, which should increase their movement speed and attack speed.
  • Wheelchair Twitchers are no longer elites, and are instead normal enemies.  Their HP has been dramatically reduced, and they now appear starting on Wave 2. The Mutation that was supposed to let them apply healing reduction was removed in an update, rendering them nothing but bullet sponges. In an attempt to reduce late wave bullet sponginess they've had their elite status removed. 

 

Bosses:

  • Sawcrazies, Boogeymen, Suiciders, Strangers, Deathslingers and Weepers will no longer spawn on boss waves to reduce incidents where players ended up slowly grinded down by elites due to boss teleporting or getting stuck somewhere. 

 

Fodder:

  • Crawlers have received a minor damage reduction. 

 

Weapons:

Shotguns:

  • Added Masterkey shotgun, a new 750$ shotgun to Assault, Heavy, Survivalist, Engineer, and Warden shops.

 

Rifles:

  • Added the Fucket Musket, an alternative to the Winchester, to the Ghost shop. Has higher damage and fire-rate but can only fire twice before reloading.

 

Modified:

  • Increased damage of Combat Knife/Bayonet.
  • Tec-9 and TMP are now available for Cremators and Demolitionists.
  • Gau-9 minigun now costs 40 for ammo instead of 50.
  • Gau-9 can no longer purchase the Chrono Infusion as it was fucking pointless.
  • Ballistic Knife cost reduced to 750$

06/21/2022:

 

Another Big Update, hopefully more enjoyable than last time!

 

Enemies

 

Elites:

  • Added new Elite, the Feedback. Feedback is a medium HP elite that summons a horde of 4 special fodder zombies called Zombie Summon(creative name I know). It will spawn an additional 4 zombie summons every time the first 4 are killed. Zombie Summons do not count towards the wave's enemy cap and do not grant money when killed. Feedback first appears starting on Wave 4.
  • Added new Elite, the Revenant. The Revenant is a medium Hp elite that can summon special zombies from the corpses of already dead ones. These include the Carcass, Cazadore, and Corpse Walker. The Carcass is very similar to a normal HL2 headcrab zombie, but has a random chance to explode when killed(which has an animation warning of it prior), and can be split into a Carcass Torso on occasion. The Cazadore is essentially a Fast Zombie, and the Corpse Walker is very similar to the Feedback's Zombie Summons, just slower. Revenants first start appearing on Wave 6.
  • Added Elite, the Grenadier. The Grenadier, true to its name, is able to throw grenades. Grenades have a short fuse time before detonating and can bounce around from their landing spot as well as deal collateral damage. Naturally, a grenade hurts a lot if you're caught in the blast. The Grenadier itself has low HP. Grenadiers first start appearing on Wave 6.

Fodder:

  • Invisible Twitchers will no longer spawn as i've discovered a convar to disable them and they were kinda cheap and unfair
  • Added new Fodder, the Horror. The Horror is a low HP fodder that alternates between complete invisibility to mild transparency. Meant to serve as a more fair replacement for invisible Twitchers. Horrors first start appearing on Wave 3.

 

Known Issues:

  • Zombie Summons appear with Missing Textures for eyes and a checkerboard pattern covering their model. Currently looking into issue.
  • Horror's Gib animation is missing Particle Effects.

  • Feedback's spawn rate has been reduced.
  • Feedback's HP has been halved. Both changes done due to troubles with higher diff scaling.

 

Fodder:

  • Horror's damage has been slightly reduced.

06/24/22:

 

Enemies:

Elite:

  • Boogeyman HP has been reduced once again due to reaching insane numbers on higher difficulties. 
  • Grenadier's HP has also been reduced. 

Fodder:

  • A change done to reduce Babies Hp and damage was unintentionally reverted at some point, and has been re-implimented.
  • Pedro's HP and Damage has been slightly reduced.

06/24/22 Patch 2:

 

Enemies:

 

Elites:

  • Grenader's Range has been reduced from 2000HU to 950 HU.
  • Grenader's Grenade damage has been reduced from 80 to 50. 
  • Grenader's grenade blast radius has been reduced to 200 from 250.
  • Grenader's grenade fuse time has been increased to 6 seconds from 3 seconds.

These changes should help reduce frustration. Note i am aware that on occasion the grenade won't play sounds, according to the code it is related to how fast it is traveling at the time of hitting the ground. I cannot modify this code without breaking the entire NPC base, so I settled for massive reduction in effectiveness instead.

  • Buffed Striker-12 damage from 25x6 to 15x10, buffed reload speed to be faster, buffed firerate from 0.17 to 0.15, buffed recoil from 2 to 1, added automatic firing option
  • Buffed Winchester damage from 100 to 125, massively reduced spread

 

Attachments:

  • Added Akimbo attachments to Winchester LAR and Double Barrel for $250 each

Modified:

  • Added Glock as a default weapon for all classes except Medic and Berserker
  • All classes now start with Combat Knife as a melee weapon
  • Added back Combat Knife to all shops
  • Reduced prices of Glock and Combat knife to $100
  • Medic now starts with the Medic 9mm (functions similarly to the Glock but has the suit zoom healing dart function)
  • TMP now uses Horde's recent buff for the TMP (meaning that it is considered an SMG, giving it 30 ammo and a silencer by default)
  • Combat Knife damage buffed to 50 / 70 and buffed its range to 50
  • Reduced Medkit weight to 0

 

Added:

  • Engineer starts with Welder by default (can heal minions and damage enemies)
  • Heat Crossbow to Survivor, Ghost, Engineer, and Cremator shops
  • Machete to all shops

 

Attachments:

 

Magazine:

  • Added M249 200-round magazine and 45-round shotgun magazine attachments
  • Added M249 barrel attachments
  • Added Glock barrel attachments

    I liked the concept of the Feedbacker, but in practice it mostly just got enemies stuck. Additionally it was causing FPS issues for several people, so it is for the best that it is gone.

  • Added Xen Psychic Unit and Xen Host Unit to Wave 10

  • Buffed Combat Knife's heavy swing damage to 75
  • Buffed Machete light swing damage to 75
