What scary things happened to you when you were home alone

One of the neighboring houses were robbed a few weeks ago and I was home alone the following days.  It would be extremely quiet and then...  *THUD!!* *thump* *thump* *thump*...  It turned out to be some stray cats walking on the roof

While I was not home alone, I was alone outside on my porch, while my Dad was inside asleep(I think).

 

It was nighttime, and I was just relaxing in the cool embrace of the night. I looked to my left, and I noticed two red dots that looked like they were eyes(due to their spacing). I decided to ignore it, but then another pair ended up appearing. What made it worse was that both were in the treeline, as though they were stalking me. I was unnerved enough that I decided to go back inside.

 

More incidents while actually being home alone involved things falling over and off of things for no reason, sometimes making loud boom noises. Always fun.

 

Otherwise, I cannot say I have had too many scary experiences while alone at my house.

This didn't happen to me, it happened to my sister 2-3 yrs ago while she was home alone getting ready to leave. 

 

Background:  the rest of the family and I had left(I can't recall where) and my sister had stayed home getting ready to leave in her own car after we had left. 

 

Story:  So my sister was staying home alone while doing her makeup, hair, etc. Just girl stuff... So for some reason the conditioning in her room wasn't working so she got a stand fan. You know those fans that stand up and spin 180° .(This is where the good shit comes in) As she was doing her makeup, the top half of the fan randomly falls off the stand it's stand and scares the living shit off my sister. I that doesnt sound scary or interesting but the way that the fan was standing up, there was no way for the top half(the actual fan itself) to fall. This spooked her enough and because she got scared she decided to go to the living room. In the living room there was this old radio that we never used but for some reason was still connected. So my sister is sitting on the living room couch just getting ready and out of nowhere the radio turns and randomly and plays a static sound. My sister freaked out runs towards it and disconnects it. Even after she had disconnected it, it supposedly played the static for a good couple of seconds after. By this point she wasn't having it and left. (Something I forgot to mention but wasn't relevant yet was that my sister had this monkey balloon that she was given the day before) 

 

Aftermath: When we all got home we were all skeptical of her story and tbh didn't believe her. This is where the monkey balloon comes in. As we enter the house this balloon was in the center of the hallway, out her room and very close to the living room. My sis could of sworn she had put the monkey in her closet the previous day. We were all weirded out so we tried to find a logical explanation like maybe  the air flow carried it. After digging for an explanation we just couldn't find it. So we took the monkey balloon, popped it and threw it away. From that day foward we haven't had a single paranormal occurrence.

So,  I don't believe in ghosts, but when there is one it's hard to not believe. Every few days or so in the middle of the night , everyone is asleep, there will be footsteps going up and down the stairs. So of course that's not creepy at all. True Story.
