As is a tradition around CS:S ZE communities, for this weekend we'll be tackling the most christmassy maps that we have lingering around our server! Last weekend we played (and fortunately beat) christmas Westersand so that leaves us with these other maps on the table. As you also may know, this is the time of year when we grind hard for a Santassination Extreme win. In the ever-going race to see who does most of Santa extreme without burning last year we tried to beat the entire map and we died at the finish line a couple times, meanwhile our friends over at the Unloze community were able to beat Extreme Act III legit, but only Act III. So for this year we'll be attempting to win more of the map and hopefully get back to the top of this never-stopping race! This event will be split into two weekends, the weekend for when this thread was written and the weekend of January 9th, 2021. What this means is that on the weekends of December 26th and January 2nd THERE WON'T BE ANY OFFICIAL EVENTS PLANNED and therefore there won't be any forum posts regarding events until after January 9th. However, if any admin would like to schedule a non-official event with a set of maps to play during those two weekends then they are free to do so, these maps won't be counted towards event cooldown and if the admin decides to give V.I.P. rewards for these mini events they are free to do so. If there are any maps you'd like to suggest for these possible mini-events join our Discord server and let us know what you would like to play! Any map in these slow times is a good map! But also for god's sake bring your M249 AND SG552 rebuys to the Santa event, god knows we need them. Server IP: 92.119.148.14:27015 Time for the events: Friday December 18th @ 4:00PM CST. Saturday December 19th @ 3:00PM CST. Saturday January 9th, 2021 @ 3:00PM CST. To check at which time the event is for you, check this website to give you an idea. PLEASE REFER TO THE TIME LISTED IN THE STEAM GROUP AS THE ABSOLUTE TIME AT WHICH THE EVENT STARTS! Notice: Events are scheduled in our Steam group, however, we also always announce over at our Discord server when the event begins. Special Kickers: During Friday, Christmas Infection and Christmas Beta will be played normally, while Santa will be played up to Extreme Mode (we'll be starting at Normal Prologue and calling it quits when we beat Socrates), however, we may have a couple of practice rounds of Extreme Act III once we win. During Saturday, we'll start Santa at Extreme and we'll play with bhop on. HOWEVER, If we get far into Extreme Truth during one round and we lose, then from that point onwards bhop will be disabled for the rest of the game. (Giving a chance to those who both want bhop on and off) During the January event, we'll be trying to do THE WHOLE MAP in one go starting at Normal Prologue and hopefully ending at Extreme Socrates, for this event we'll be starting with bhop off. During both Extreme runs, if players request it we can have a short break inbetween rounds of Extreme Act III to give everyone a bit of time to breathe before trying again. If the break happens, it'll happen after a few rounds of Extreme Act III. VIP Rewards: This'll be a long event, so rewards will be granted as follows: On Friday, winners of any one map will walk away with V.I.P. until January 9th. (To account for the weeks we won't be playing official events). Winners of all three maps will walk away with V.I.P. until January 16th. On both Saturday events, winners of Santa Extreme will walk away with V.I.P. until March 27th, 2021. (As well as a permanent customizable Discord role that will be given on a first come first serve basis in case we reach role limit, role will have to follow a christmassy theme, similar to how it was during Halloween). Everybody else in the server the moment the map is beaten will walk away with V.I.P. until February 27th, 2021. Rules: This event will be of chill but also tryhard nature, micspamming / off-topic is allowed so long as it's not overshadowing / overly spammy. On both Santa Extreme runs however tryhard will be top priority, so any non map-related talk will be shut. Regular server rules will apply for this event as usual. Sitting in spec unless you're a spectating admin is not allowed. We'll play the maps like so: On Friday, each map will be played for 120 minutes. On both Saturday events, we'll play until we get burnt out. Leaders: Guess who. See you on the weekend, and good luck!
