NewNebula12 79 / 4,755 Report Post Posted December 5, 2021 Similar to The Executioner, The Bodyguard is given a random player to act as their VIP. The BG deals reduced damage to this target and is dealt reduced damage by the target. When within a certain range of this target, the bodyguard gets increased damage, and damage resistance. The bodyguard wins if the VIP stays alive, if the VIP dies, the bodyguard is alerted, and their role will change into a drunk, due to their failure to do their one fucking job. Neon Cat 160 / 4,504 Report Post Posted December 5, 2021 the role is kinda lame, but the part I really don't like is "if the bodyguard kills the vip, they turn into executioner". exe is generally a better role than drunk, as most of the time you will get inno roles as a drunk. most people would see an exe round to be easier and more fun, so they would just kill their target and take the role. The1337Gh0st 238 / 8,609 Report Post Posted December 5, 2021 Not only is there a Bodyguard role already on the workshop, but this is a far less interesting implementation of the idea. While this version doesn't have to worry about switching teams, there's also a flaw with this idea where you get rewarded for killing your VIP. Since people would much rather be a role that's allowed to kill others rather than be a bodyguard, the VIP would end up being hunted down most of the time.
