Bae 2,489 / 41,520 Report Post Posted December 20, 2016 I voted no because it's already 10$/hour for my hometown, so I mean it's already way too much to add more and since houston has high unemployment rate, it'll be useless to increase the rate since most jobs are very strict with their requirements. credits to @Clavers
 And if you pay a fraction for it, like $3 instead of $30, then you have $27 left that you will spend on something else, thus creating demand, which leads to "creating jobs" because supply is required. MrManslayerX 390 / 6,713 Report Post Posted December 28, 2016 I'm pretty sure someone already said it here, but if everybody gets paid more, then of course the price of everything goes up as well. Inflation is already bad enough as it is, but if we DOUBLE wages? We're making the issue even worse. And as was already mentioned, there's going to be a lot of people laid off from their jobs because corporate entities either will not or can not fulfill their wages.
