MutedMike has been here for quite a while and has hosted several events including a relatively large Minecraft event. He has shown a lot of activity in events, and I think he will be a good fit sparking some new excitement in the team. A bit about the role can be found here in an earlier announcement about the role and openings: People can join teams whenever they'd like, but I think it's a great time to consider it when there are new leaders because they are typically more open to fresh ideas.
