Tell them your: - Name - Rank - Battalion Tell them you will be training them today. Ask them if they have ever played Clone Wars RP before. - If yes, you can ask them if they already know sections as you move through the training. If they say they do, you can test them quickly to make sure. - If not, you must teach them how to do everything correctly. It is your responsibility to make sure they know how to do everything before they leave! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part Two - Naming & Saluting Tell them to use the command on the wall to change their name. Tell them what each part of everyone's names mean: - CR, etc.: Your rank, refer to the rank list to see abbreviations - Numbers: Your clone's number (part of clone wars lore) - Nick Name: Your clone's name (for everyone to know you by) It is your responsibility to make sure the cadet's name is acceptable! Teach the cadet how to bind the salute: - Use the tilde (~) key bring up the console - If they do not have their console enabled: - Options > Advanced > Check 'Enable Developer Console' - Have them type: bind [Key] "say /me salutes"- Replace [Key] with a key on their keyboard- Make sure they show you their bind works. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part Three - Ranks Show the cadet: - The rank list - Which ranks can /advert - Which ranks to salute ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part Four - Formations & Faces Formations: Show them the formations on the wall: - Commander is the red dot - Soldiers are blue - Prisoners/VIP are lime green (Show differences between Prisoner/VIP diamonds) - Red means they are crouching (Not to be confused with the commander's red dot) Have them do the formations on you as if you were their commander. - You do not need anyone to help you with this; you can do it by yourself with the cadet Make sure they are in the right position. Formations are one of the most important things they will learn here. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Faces: Describe each face and their meanings. On both a 'Front' and an 'About' face, ALWAYS TURN RIGHT UNLESS INSTRUCTED OTHERWISE! Tell them to use third person to aid in their uniformity. - To enable, Hold 'C' > Click 'Simple Third Person' > Enable Thirdperson FOR BOTH FORMS AND FACES, STRESS THE IDEAS OF UNIFORMITY & 'DRESSING' LINES TO KEEP A SOLID FORMATION! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part Five - P.T.S. Tell them P.T.S. stands for Permission To Speak. They cannot speak unless given permission by the Commander, or if a sign is posted allowing it. To request P.T.S.: - Under normal circumstances, type a request in chat. Such as "Permission to speak, sir". - If in the debrief room, however, type '/y PTS' instead ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part Seven - Shooting Go through all four aim practices: - The Cadet must crouch in the center of the aim practice - Shoot each target 3 times - Hard and Expert are not mandatory to complete successfully Go through Target Selection: - You will type a string of 5 numbers ranging from 1 to 5 in chat - They must hit the targets labeled with those numbers IN THAT ORDER - Do 3 sets of these - Speed is not required for this ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Part Eight - Finished Tell them they successfully (or unsuccessfully) completed the training. Call an admin to whitelist them. Once whitelisted, tell them to: - Change their rank to CT, and change to the Clone Trooper job - Try out for a battalion, and tell them if there are any active ALWAYS HELP THEM AROUND THE AREA IF NEEDED! BE KIND AND COURTEOUS TO THE NEW GUYS!
