Joshy 4,368 / 44,996 Report Post Posted April 30, 2018 I want to be loud as you guys consider your candidates: Your staff team is very feeble and it does not resemble a community aiming to grow. It was not well-liked when I said it in the past, and especially when I put it out there for any of you, but I think you're team really needs more than what you're aiming for. Two is pathetic. You're filling in arbitrary slots... it's better to be proactive and fulfill the needs before they exist. You'll already be going through your next cycle of people and problems by the time you get these guys up and running, and thinking in a way you'll need in order to benefit the community. The team I felt like was well-liked was larger with fully staffed divisions and at least four extremely ambitious community advisors who didn't have rules or a list to follow- they provoked topics, drove change, and were willing to accept failures if it meant a genuine chance of progress. There was definitely one of those pissing contests and the highest tiered staff had wrongfully believed that these characteristics existed in the team merely because of their title - hence your constant and stupid changes in the name - but it was the people. Anyhow: I think that drive is long gone, but you still have a chance at recovery: Numbers. It's a numbers game now, and it comes at very little expense to you having more people on the team. Instead of two: I propose accepting four candidates even if the other two aren't exactly where you'd like them to be just yet. Improve your numbers; give yourself something to work with, and some buffer for change. Some people might surprise you- Darkling surely did. Don't wait for my suggestions to grow stale. Clufy 130 / 4,329 Report Post Posted May 2, 2018 Edited May 2, 2018 by Clufyretard I just hope that the people who don't get picked won't get butt hurt tho i feel that it's important that people learn from what they have done and move forward instead of thinking they did a bad job because they didn't get accepted the first time they tried, but still haven't gotten to know the community well enough yet Edited May 2, 2018 by Clufyretard Admin on Hide and Seek, Former Operator on Death-run, Former Member Acceptor. Joshy 4,368 / 44,996 Report Post Posted May 24, 2018 Edited September 3, 2018 by Joshy It's strongly inferred by context, that they aren't going to pick up people soon after they've selected their candidates- it's going to take time and it's not something they just said to say it neither are specific individuals being left out. The best thing anyone can do if they want a role in the future is to start making their role; do (the right) things without having to be told what, how to do it, and whether or not anyone is watching or recognizes it. Your thread on the badge idea is a good example in my opinion even if it is never implemented or if it's not the most favourite suggestion... it has almost the right mechanisms and potential. You could do more to it such as what you suggest how the badge looks (is it just generic with plain colour) and how to combat some of the problems people asked about in the thread such as how to verify the age by practical and safe means. edit: Scatterbrains. I hope you guys had an exciting about four months. Edited September 3, 2018 by Joshy
