Discord Ban Appeal?

I wasn't sure where the heck to post this since there really isn't a page on forums to do so.

Reason why I should be unbanned:

I'm not sure if you guys can check tags, I'm pretty sure you can. I've already been told by some people why I've been banned. I understand a specific person reported/felt different about me tagging them. I won't mention who they are because it doesn't matter. I will say that I do tag a lot, most of the time just as a joke. I get ghost pinged all the time, I don't really care, I read through my pings anyways, even if it says I have 20 pings in 2 hours. I ghost ping some people, I get muted for it, I'm not concerned about that. I'm not toxic in general chats, so I don't know what that ban was issued for, if you consider tagging people as "toxic", then by those means, everyone in the Discord is toxic. Like I said, I get pinged a lot during the day.

 

Now as for the person that "felt uncomfortable", sorry if it made you feel uncomfortable, I don't want shit with you, I'm not being creepy. I don't even have you added on Steam as a friend, you can go ahead and check. I had you added for like a week IIRC, I don't really add people I don't talk to on Steam, sorry? If my pinging made you feel uncomfortable, I ping a lot of people, for example, there's people on your Admin team that I ping at least twice as many times as I ping you, they're my friends. I consider everyone at GFL to be friendly, even as toxic as they are, it's a fun group/community to be around. People here aren't sensitive at all, and even the ones that are, they're friendly too. As for the pinging, I also ping directors, DLs, server managers, no one seems to have a real big issue with it... 

 

I need to be in the Gmod GFL Discord for at least the 2 Admin chats of the servers I'm Admin on. I don't care if I don't have privileges to chat in other channels, though I need to be able to communicate effectively with my team & higher ups, it's like telling an employee to find a way to write letters to his supervisors instead of text. 

 

 

 

 

im a bit buzzed while writing this, in case there's any repeated ideas, mostly because i dont have time to do shit, as i started the new job and i work odd hours. I have to find the right schedule to implement GFL into my work schedule

you essentially say people shouldn't get mad or weirded out or whatever at you constantly pinging them here.

If someone asks you to stop, and then you immediately go and do the thing they just asked you to stop doing (like you yourself are very well know to do) then you're in the wrong.

At first we all thought it was an inside joke between you and the person you kept pinging despite them asking you to stop pining them so we allowed it. Then it went past being an inside joke and started to get weird. You were asked to stop. Then you were told to stop. Then you kept doing it and a director told you to stop. You still kept doing it and now you're banned because you couldn't stop. 

 

Your behavior in ttt admin chat should also be reflected on here, you consistently bring up nsfw topics and ask people (read, new admins when they first get accepted) what kind of porn they like when you know people there are 1) uncomfortable with it, and 2) underage. It's for a gmod server, the age range for active members is 13-30, you can't just spout that stuff off.

 

You not following explicit directions despite being told those explicit directions to your face seems to be a common theme

Nobody "needs" to be there, that just makes it easier to do the job effectively. All the admin resources and important stuff is on the forums.

I have heard you use this excuse for your behavior more times than I care to admit. Regardless of weather it's true or not, you can't seem to follow simple directions and until you can learn that important life skill, as far as i'm concerned you can stay banned. This is not my final decision as mod leader but unless someone can justify your actions well enough to me or the person that actually banned you wants to unban you, you're staying banned.

I don't recall being told to stop because it was getting weird. I recall being told to stop because they were getting annoyed at the time of it happening, because all the other Admins in the same server pinged that one person 2x if not more times than I did. I didn't ask the person for anything, nor really talked to them above normal conversation shit. 

 

As for the porn thing. I said in-game "I'm leaving to go do stuff" and she said "probably to watch porn", so jokingly I asked what her favorite porn was and to DM me it. I don't care what kind of porn she watches if she even does, nor do I care if she does. I can see where you're coming from, but it's an inside joke.

I'm not the only one that did it. I'm also not the only one that does it. I don't see why it's all of a sudden creepy when I do it as a TTT Admin. The people from the person's team did it as well. Is it creepy they also tagged this specific person? I mean I also tagged other Admins from that same team, is it creepy that I tag them? I tag directors and DLs. Is it creepy that I tag DLs and Directors? No, it's not. 

 

I mean if we're going to say that randomly tagging people is wrong, then we might as well start from the top right?
