Come help test Rust!

Rust is currently in its testing stages.  I need more than just my friends playing.

 

If you want to play:

Go into Rust

Press F1

Type 'connect 64.74.97.159:28015' in the console

Wait for it to load(usually takes like 30 seconds for the first time loading in)

 

Then just play for a little bit.

 

Type any feedback you have for the server on this post.

Yeah, also, player data and map data will be reset again. Nothing in this testing will save.

 

Also, I'll be testing some of the server things, so don't think I'm "abusing"

A little over a month ago. Roy started it off with Battlefield, but I decided to make it survival(community vote).

If there is (which there probably will be), my vote is a reset every 4-6 months. Especially with how small Rust worlds can seem, it'd be nice. 

 

 

EDIT: after playing for two days i realize how stupid 4-6 months would be. fuck that 1-2 months is good

Otter's current plan seems to be a monthly wipe (Assuming he has an idea for events every month), @Slotter, correct me if I'm wrong.

If you play for 2 hours a day, you'd be able to max a building in a week and get ammo/raiding supplies, and all of that in 2-3 weeks. It will be a monthly wipe.

 

ALSO! Rust updates and wipes on its own anyways, so if it's an update wipe, I will let all of you know.

 

Won't be on tonight as I'm going to the store and taking a 1-2 day break from working on it.

psh, you act like everyone's gonna have time to play for 2 hours every day.

I don't know. I'd have to look at what players have, base setups, etc.

I'd look at it from the average players perspective. 

 

Maybe play for an hour or two every other day/every couple days, eventually getting pretty well established within around 3-4-maybe even 5 weeks. That'd leave them with not even a week to be able to use everything they spent the month getting, probably making them not want to play.

I loved playing Rust when it first came out, and I would love to play it again, but my potato can't run it. 

 

Im really pissed that I can't play on it either because Rust is so god damn fun.
