Event #205 -- "Trihard mode for Die-hard movie fans" Map Combo

Event Overview:

Hello everyone!

For this week courtesy of Im_not_ninja we'll be taking a look at something that feels to me like we've seen somewhere else before, not on GFL but somewhere else... hmm... Here's some maps based off some cool movies, and we're gonna defile the good name of the movies in the name of an event, but hopefully this time we'll do a lot better on Minas than we did last time!

PLEASE REFER TO THE TIME LISTED IN THE STEAM GROUP AS THE ABSOLUTE TIME AT WHICH THE EVENT STARTS!

Notice:

• Events are scheduled in our Steam group, however, we also always announce over at our Discord server when the event begins.

Special Kickers:

• Minas will start at Extreme 1 and everyone will start at level 2
• Predator will be played with rifles as primaries only
• Pirates will be played with Heal and Medallion as only items
• Harry Potter will start at Extreme 1 and everyone will start at level 4
  • NOTE THAT FOR HARRY POTTER AND MINAS, WE'LL BE SETTING UP LEVELS ONLY DURING MAP START AND, IN CASE WE KEEP FAILING EXTREME 1, WE'LL KEEP SETTING UP LEVELS BACK TO THE SPECIFIED ONES AT THE BEGINNING OF EXTREME 1, IF WE GET TO EXTREME 2 THEN WE WON'T BE SETTING LEVELS ANYMORE (since at that point it'll get extremely messy and convoluted to individually set levels for people)

VIP Rewards:

• Winners of any one map will receive a week of V.I.P.!
• Winners of two or all four maps will receive two weeks!

Rules:

• This event will be of chill but also tryhard nature, micspamming / off-topic is allowed so long as it's not overshadowing / overly spammy.
• Regular server rules will apply for this event as usual.
• Sitting in spec unless you're a spectating admin is not allowed.
• Each map will be played for a maximum of 120 minutes.
  • Minas will be played for 75 minutes start time, if we're still holding pretty well and there's demand for it then only one admin extend can be made.
  • Predator will be played for 90 minutes start time, if we're still holding pretty well and there's demand for it then only one admin extend can be made.
