The 2022 Surf Tournament

Hey everyone!

 

I'm excited to announce that we're planning to host our very first tournament on the 25th of June! The tournament will host 16 players in a series of best-of-3 1v1 battles for a nice slice of the prize pool. The roster of contestants consist of 12 invited players with 4 slots open to a qualifier event, more on that below.

 

Speaking of prize pool, we're starting it off with a base cash prize of $250 USD, and we're leaving it open to donations of any amount from the community. If you would like to increase the stakes and make things a little spicy, please consider donating to the prize pool! For the qualifier event, we are hosting a simple Points Race event on a select map pool consisting of 2 of the most completed maps from every tier (up to tier 6). This event will run for 7 days, and you must have at least 100 hours of active play time on GFL Surf to be eligible to participate. The Top 4 players with the most points on the Qualifier server will be joining the tournament roster! The Qualifier Servers are available below:

• North America: `CLOSED.`
• Europe: `CLOSED.`
