My Headset

So I have a Turtle Beach Headset running through like 3 adapters to work on my PC. It has audio, but the microphone is EXTREMELY quiet. I literally yelled into it and my audio recorder picked up a light tone of it that sounded like air, any ideas on how to fix this?

Check you recording device settings, see if everything is set correctly. If not, fix it.

Try turning the gain up, and see if that helps

 

If you are using third party drivers, double check they are not setting volume low

 

Verify each adapter is actually working, and check for loose wiring/fraying.

 

(And please, make sure any mute switches are off)
