It's currently burning in Paris, France.

Little, but delayed update: The Notre Dame Cathedral has, in fact, been "secured", which was thought to be impossible in the last few minutes of the blaze. Fortunately, the large, famous rose stained glass is still intact with minor damage (the stained glass behind the high altar too) and many priceless artefacts have been retrieved.

 

President Emmanuel Macron hopes to rebuild the Notre Dame within 5 years; there have already been 900 million dollars donated in the first 2 days with the support of 3 French billionaires and Ubisoft, who have donated 500,000 dollars due to them being a French company (they will also be helping the reconstruct the Notre Dame with the help of 3D mapping from Assassin's Creed).

Pretty much. This isn't the 1400s scam artist Catholic Church, nor is it the 1900s fascist-sympathising Catholic Church. Even if their charity work simply isn't out of the goodness of their hearts (it's ironically what puts them in business), it's there nonetheless. The modern Catholic Church is mostly harmless, which people ought to compare and contrast with many Protestant denominations which are a great deal more extreme.

I don't believe in religion, there is far more religion than just Christianity and Islam, also if you look at it one religion is a party in 99% of religious conflict while also being a majority of all religious violence.

You're citing wikipedia which cites hundred year old events for it's argument.

Nearly all christian sects follow the new testament not the old one.

The second link is an opinion piece that cites the killing of Jews for poisoning the well, which first of all actually happened and secondly wasn't to do with religion but rather if someone poisons your people you don't take kindly to them regardless of religion.

I don't rely on MSM or the church, I certainly wouldn't quote anarchist literature on why religion is bad, it's like quoting the Catholic Church on why Atheism is bad.
