suggestion Plugin that auto reply to those to attempts "!knife"

Tired of replying to the new players who always type !knife or !ws when they join?

 

If you are, then you should say something about it!

 

Therefore I suggest a plugin to automatically send a message like "It is a violation of Valve's server hosting ToS..." or something similar to the players who attempts to use !knife or !ws for all CS:GO servers.

This is a great idea.  Maybe also provide the link to the Valve request?  I personally don't play CS:GO too often. but I could imagine how this could help.

Sounds like a good idea, would stop those people from needing to ask staff members about it if it was explained to them when they tried.

Line number 71 in my autoexec.cfg bind "pgdn" "say It is against Valves ToS to have weapon skin plugins that give players items not in their inventory" I assume this is where you got the idea? BTW it would need to have a cooldown to prevent spam.

You won't need to ask Valve for this. Instead, ask anyone who knows sourcepawn should make that plugin.

No I mean put the link to valve's website where they posted the notice.  (The request to remove said plugins from your server)

Extremely simple to make as @SwegBuster said and should save a lot of time explaining to players why we don't have weapons skins, etc on our servers. I agree.

This has a convar where you can add commands without editing the plugins e.g.

sm_tosmessage_cmds = "knife, ws", "Set your custom chat commands for tos message to appear(!knife (no 'sm_'/'!')(seperate with comma ', ')(max. 12 commands))

This ConVar can be edited inside cfg/sourcemod/TosMessage.cfg

 

Message currently is "At GFL we follow the official Valve Terms of Service. For this reason we not include this command in any of our servers. Read more here: https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg11235.html . However this can be edited in translation too.

 

Might ask @Dano to deploy it to all our csgo servers.
