Coolest Cat 1,266 / 14,449 Report Post Posted July 4, 2016 My thoughts (posting up here since spoilers are weird): Personally, I kind of got an out-of-touch parent vibe from Ethan describing online gambling in general. Anyway, I think that it's extremely shady to promote a gambling website that you own and pass it off as though you just "found" it. It also raises the question about the possibility of rigging. P.S. This is news since CSGO is a huge portion of GFL. Plus there's probably a lot of people on here who gamble with their CSGO skins. What are your thoughts on the video? The video: "Be good people"
GLOdysseus 78 / 3,763 Report Post Posted July 4, 2016 I hate CS:GO gambling websites in general. I've always thought whoever gambles skins and buys cases and keys seriously are retarded. They don't affect your gameplay so why are they so valuable. But I think it is shady that Tmartn said he "found" a gambling website even thought he owns it. It's obvious he has been promoting it. CheapTactic 74 / 3,855 Report Post Posted July 4, 2016 Edited July 4, 2016 by CheapTactic Gambling should not be encouraged in any way, so Ethan was right including in his way to describe it. I didn't know H3H3 but only heard of him, I watched his video just because it was recommended to me by youtube, he was right on many things. The cunts didn't mention that they were the owners of the site and promoted it and promoted it to kids as well to make some easy cash. When I read a few comments of the people, some went to be complete retards and blame it on the parents, as if the parents can monitor everything their kids do including that the parents don't know as much about games and the internet than their kids who were born into this technology and age. Again even if they mentioned that they were the owners of that site, it doesn't matter, promoting gambling to kids is fucking retarded and a shady thing to do on its own. Same if the CEO of Donalds says that Donalds meals are great and cheap and he goes to eat there every time and isn't disappointed each time he went there to attract people to Donalds(whether if he mentions that he is the CEO of the company or not). Wilford_brimleyy 593 / 8,185 Report Post Posted July 4, 2016 Edited July 4, 2016 by Wilford_brimleyy The part that blows my mind is that tmartn says that he did tell everyone...when he clearly didn't. Not only is he being shady, but he actually thinks we are dumb enough to believe him. Edited July 4, 2016 by Wilford_brimleyy
Ben 2,390 / 32,172 Report Post Posted July 4, 2016 Gambling sites for CSGO like this kinda promote on the addiction of gambling.. Look at PhantomL0rd - He just stream whenever he bet and rarely take gameplay of what he does on CS. I've bet and gambled before, and I can tell you that it's fun, but just do it in moderation. I do understand the risk, and that how I ended up losing my Karambit. Don't bet your own most expensive item if you want your dream knife, try to trade up. Cypher 1,187 / 11,383 Report Post Posted July 4, 2016 Its a huge conflict of interest. A better analogy is like the people who make cigarettes having claimed they're not unhealthy, and them clearly being so. The dude will absolutely face legal repercussions eventually. airron 2 / 2,152 Report Post Posted July 4, 2016 It's like selling a sickly horse to someone on purpose for the money. If he owns the site, he can easily manipulate the chances of him winning the lotto, think of it as a casino owner paying his employees of a chance game extra to increase the chances of him winning. The worst thing about this is that he didn't tell anyone that he was the owner of the site, and he lied about not establishing it too. He's down in the deep end on this one. He could also get arrested for this, unlikely though. Cause, 'steam money isn't real money'.
Ben 2,390 / 32,172 Report Post Posted July 4, 2016 Okay, i've did a bit research on CSGO Lotto, and I can't believe this. Tom(Syndicate) is one of my favorite streamer and H3H3 exposed him and TMartin about CSGO Lotto. I liked his Minecraft's Mianite series. I didn't watch the video, but can anyone tell me what'd H3H3 said in that video?

Basically in short those 2 guys encouraged gambling that they did on a CS:GO gambling site, but they did so and never mentioned that they were owners of said site, now they could have faked their reactions, results and just advertised their site to earn a bit more $$$ from kids and other people who would fall in their things. JNota 0 / 2,142 Report Post Posted July 10, 2016 Lets be hoenst guys, CS:GO gambling websites are not really need in the game or should i say for the game. Why? if you want skins then why not trade it with someone else it seals the deal and stops (to an extent) scammers. Furthermore, valve has a lawsuit on them now for allowing this to happen, really this means nothing to them but if this keeps up valve will be forced to either close third-party websites that are for gambling or all in general or fix the problem by having their own gambling website or just simply close the game. I can understand the rest of your reply (to an extent), however this, this boggles my mind. Creating a gambling website by Valve would give even more obligation to sue Valve for encouraging gambling. What do you mean by, closing the game?

What do you mean by, closing the game? essentially because some people would be sad to see gambling websites to go away if valve makes their own and controls/ montoirs it then there will be less chance of scams and scandals etc. and when I say they will close the game is exactly as it sounds the will remove csgo off of the steam market (though it is highly unlikely we still have to consider all of the possibilities)

Ben 2,390 / 32,172 Report Post Posted July 17, 2016 I wanted to share some of those video similar to this. M0E owned CSGO Betting site, which, I'm sure most of you all have already knew about it. Well, turns out PhantomL0rd is another suspect. He did something with CSGOShuffle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dY3ltGjUBUo Now wtf is going on with this whole drama thing. Valve is forbidding gambling sites to use their steam API, Twitch is forbidding streamers to show gambling on CSGO as well. I'll bet there are more people being involved into this drama thing.
