New Member Greeting

Hello, this is just a short guide as to how we’re going to handle sending out messages to new members. This will probably be updated over time.

 

We will be keeping track of who has been sent a message using the “tags” feature on the forums. Please only use this to add the “messaged” tag to posts. This isn’t something we want to see abused. If you see a post with “messaged” on it then you know it’s already been done. In the future we might automate the process entirely but that depends on how much work this proves to be.

 

The most important thing is that the links we give people are still relevant. We’ll want to include links to events going on in GFL such as the bi-weekly Karaoke events and others like that. I’ll notify you all of any updates we make to the list of links in the discord and on the forums.

You can edit the wording as you please. However, to abide by the law, you must include what we make off of the HB partnership. Which is good anyway so our players can tell how much they're benefiting us. It is entirely up to you if you want to write a personalized greeting based off of what we know about the player such as what they said in their member app, or you can do a copy + paste for everyone. Up to you.
