I like long horned beetles since they look like pokemon

also honorable mention to stick bugs since they are goofy since why would you want to be a stick (I know evolutionarily it is so they are not eaten but like besides that it is goofy)

My favourite insects are mantises. They're like cute little martial artists.RRJR_mantis.jpg

Then you've got orchid mantises, which look like fairies of the insect world.

I won't take a photo—I'll tell it through words.

Spiders because we all have a mutual agreement to destroy any bad insects in my apartment along with wasps!

Though, I'm not sure if we do anymore because a day after accidentally vacuuming up a couple spiders, this happened.

RIP TV 2018 - 2021 and to think I was going to finally put it to use when my girlfriend visits in January after over three years of using it only two - three times...

I have to agree.  I’ve only ever seen one before that was not like at a zoo or something like that (it was in the backyard)…. I still remember that day…. and the mantis was super chill.

I want to give a fun mention of grasshoppers since I see those more often (still uncommon though) and they have little beady eyes.  I took a picture of one the other day and so i’ll have to upload that soon.

Although I’m terribly afraid of spiders and hate when they are in my areas…. there’s still something to admire about them and they’re kind of cool as long as they don’t look like they might touch or fall on me.  The other thing I like is that there are so many different kinds so it’s fun to look them up.

Spiders, but more specifically Orb Weaver Spiders! Although Spiders aren't actually insects, everyone likes to call them insects so i thought I'd throw these guys in here

There are tens of thousands of species of the Orb Weaver family of Spiders around the world, and they can range from camouflaged specialists, nocturnal only, and even barbed and spiked varieties!

They get their name from the design of their webs, which branch out from a centre point in a myriad of shapes and special designs - when someone says cobweb you'll immediately think of this style of web! This web design is the most recognisable style of any spider as well as being the most common found worldwide!
Here are some of my favourites - marked as spoilers for anybody terrified of them ; )
