Hello this is for the maps..... yes the surf ramps.... the good stuff!

check these maps out pls like look for flaws and pros 

theres nothing more i hate then when a map gets put in and it turns out to be a bummer

Maps for removal

Surf_frictinol

Reason: kills population and its boring 

Surf_venice and surf_overlook

Reasons: they both kill population are very boring and repetative and in general there just failure for the server

Map testing didn't go, however they are recommended by me. I couldn't find any more because SouRD and Razor-Wolf took all of them off Gamebanana.

We need harder maps! the only actually hard map on the list is telstar.

rainbow,rebound, and tensile are really good maps and should really be looked at. playing all these easy maps is making me not want to play on the server and its getting really boring playing telstar ten times over

again all of these maps have a jail and look decent. hopefully you can looks at them sometime

I cannot test these maps for two reasons! the first is that valve messed up the ui (why valve, why?) so i have no idea if i can even make a lan server and 2 you cant change the cvar values like you can in other source games. You would either need a server or download cirtain mods and do complicated stuff in order to change the sv_accelerate/sv_airaccelerate values.

 

Please remove surf_machine_remix_v8. it is just a terrible map with no direction and almost no surf.

However, there is a way to change those values. I don't know if we actually do need hard maps. I'm going to talk to @SouRD about it when he gets online and discuss about it. 

I will create a test server, however, I can't at the moment. I'd have to talk to Snoopy about using one of the test server to test maps and stuff.

Harder maps will keep more experienced surfers on the server. Surfing on easy or short maps gets very boring very fast. 

Yes, you can change the accelerate and airaccelerate values on a lan server, but it is a complicated process and involves installing mods. This makes it difficult to test maps. most of the maps i suggested i have played on a different server and i know that people like them.

The server here have mods. They're called sourcemods, which is easy and very helpful.

 

I don't think you can use metamod and sourcemods into the lan servers. Until I get words from Snoopy, we'll probably have map testing later future.

Our maps have been sorted through or atleast i have sorted through them, maps 

surf_kitsune2_tf2 is a skill surf where red and blue spawn togeather and no jail

these maps we allready have and have gone through thm, there not maps we need they each have significant flaws for a surf DM. 

As far as a range in maps i agree diviserty will hold a stable population. i just got back from riding dirt bikes all day on saturday i will post a more in depth map listing of wich maps we have in our Fastdl and the ones we want and the ones that need to go, from there we can effectively test maps and add maps without going in the cirlce of oh weve played these before or whatever.. Just got this idea. I will probably end up re-doing map rotation in order between arena, easy/beginner. medium, hard and possibly very hard, with SouRD, later as I will talk to him about it. Far as I know, I will end up asking some friend who knows surf more, and ask him to help me set up sort order of the current map we have at the moment.

I like the idea of arena's then easy and so on I'm tired of surf servers having random map lists that look terrible and sadly were one of them -.-* I would like to see a fresher map list it would give the server a new atmosphere :D +2
