Could we get Murder a new start?

I am back again trying to get another server either back up or trying to get some people on. Kill me.....

 

But lets be serious here. I know there is a lot of people here at GFL that love the murder server or use to love it.

It can either be because they don`t like certain changes or because they just got bored over the time.

But I remember when it use to be very good and lots of people would play on it. Its actually also where I got to join the GFL community. I remember applying for member. I met @Winter and some other people that for some reason I can't seem to find there name so I can't really tag them.

But if you see this post and you are someone I met during playing on the murder server. You know god damn well who you are. There were way too much good people on there and I have seen some bad too but I don't really care.

What really matters to me right now is the fact that it would be fun if someone could give the murder a fresh new start. I am sure that some people would be ready to join once more and explore what would be that fresh new start. The murder server is way too good and fun to let die and I think it is time now to make it alive once more to bring back the memories. I really think it would be fun to take care of it and make it another fun GFL server like it use to be. Maybe there could be some more new cool things that maybe almost everyone or maybe even everyone would love. It would be something very amazing and I think that I would actually make my mark and play more gmod then ever if we or one of the GFL staff gave the murder server a fresh new start. I mean, I ain't the kind of guy who really wants to beg to bring another server back up but I really am begging for this god damn server to be brought back to GFL and I want it back for real. It would be something very amazing to me and it would mean a lot to me.

 

I hope someone see's this and makes it happen. If not, I will try and protest and find some people to help me protest until I give up which I don't know how long it could take.

What do you mean by giving it a new start?  Are you meaning introduce new maps or something?  These are all things I hear in talk whenever someone wants to do something, but there's no content to it.

 

You could be the person to do it...  though...  Don't think of big ideas.  Work on the little stuff.  One thing I have noticed from past fallen servers is that old maps were well supported for larger and active communities, and as the people in those modes began to lose interest, then it became difficult to play those same maps with a smaller group.  I would definitely come up with a list of maps, items or modes, or anything relevant to population, and keep it small- post it up.  Make it a good game for 2 or 3 people to enjoy for now, and then work out the details later should the community grow.

 

I don't know much about Murder although I do recall hopping on once.  I think it would be great to see a few pictures or videos.  If you don't make one, then maybe request one from the Creative Team?  Try not to rely on them and produce some stuff to or provide them pictures and video pieces.  If you really want this to come back, then you'll have to put some work into it.

@Joshy I know what he’s talking about. Murder has no manager now and one of its two servers have already been shut down. All of its staff are inactive and frankly I couldn’t keep population when I was manager.

 

Murder’s dying and quite honestly, as much as I hate to admit it, so is my faith in it.

 

It needs a new manager and new staff and soon, otherwise it’ll stay as a waste of space.

 

@Zebra @Violator @ButterKing5000 Please help. I’m willing to give it another shot but please look into Murder in general.

I already talked to zebra about this server; the manager was removed due to inactivity for over a month. The only issue is Murder isn't a popular gamemode anymore; it may have been years ago but at this time period; it's no longer popular. So gaining population is a bit harder than you think. Technically we shut down a total of 3 @Winter how could you forget the other two?  Well from what Zebra and I talked about last night, they're deciding on whether to select a manager or remove the server. Because Murder isn't the only dead server on gmod nor gfl overall. I also talked to Roy, and he said there will be a revamp on the servers that are dead, or something along those lines. So... it's a possibility we either keeping it or removing it or even adjusting it to a different gamemode. But right now, that's all I can tell ya.

The only two servers I’ve been around for are Murder 24/7 Construct and Murder Minecraft Rotation. There may have been a third but it was probably before i got here.

@RiptogateGaming Sorry if my post was misleading, but I meant like Roy manages the overall servers of all things; like the payment part or whatnot. I responded late due to that I'm sneaking on to post this while at work.
