Decrease In Activity

Hello everybody and happy holidays! I would like to notify everybody that my activity will be heavily decreasing after New Years (January 2nd - 3rd to be exact). I know I've made multiple threads in the past similar to this but this one is serious.

 

Recently, a big opportunity has been given to me and I will be taking advantage of it. I've been offered a full-time job. While this is a big career jump for myself, I cannot go into any details regarding the job at the moment. The good thing about this is I will be learning a lot more about back-end related things such as Linux and so on. Though, again, you will be seeing a big activity drop for me.

 

I still plan to work at my current job on the weekends (Home Depot) for the time being. Therefore, I will be working all week. I will still be able to find time to work on GFL though (I just won't be gaming much). 

 

We've recently promoted two directors (@Xy_ and @Nick) and also have @RickGrimesTM as well. I have confidence in this team and I will still be here guiding them whenever I can. I've been spending the last couple months training these individuals and preparing for this. With that said, we have a strong Council team as well who I think will lead GFL in the right direction.

 

I will continue to work with @Xy_ with the back end and we have both been working on things recently (especially him, he has been doing a lot more than myself). We almost have a fully functional automatic backup system in place. After that, we will immediately start upgrading the IPS 4 website along with performing the Web VM move that will result in better performance.

Just another note, I will not be stepping down from my current position as director. I'm going to give it a few months and see how much time I can find to work on GFL. I really don't know how much time I'll have but I hope to have enough time to perform my role as director. If for whatever reason I do not, I will spend time preparing and I will ensure GFL is put into good hands (I highly doubt it'll come down to this though).

Cause I totally didn't know any of this  Can't wait to see it all work out @Roy. With the new teams and upcomming things yet to happen I believe we'll all get through this greater than before  Hope you get some good experience and knowledge with the new job and eventually enough time to not stress about it all
