Welcome to my TedTalk, grab some popcorn.

 

Don’t regret the time I spent here. Even if in the end it was all for nothing, I met some of the coolest people over my almost two years here and that’s all that matters. I wish the community nothing but a prosperous future and hope that if I ever come back, it’ll be better then I remembered it to be.

 

Quick note: I'm posting this 15 days in advance cause I'll be on vacation and soon after writing exams. 

 

Just finally wanted to say my thanks to the following people:

 

@AIexis thanks for everything, first person I ever met here, you’ve always been there for me and I can’t express in words how thankful I am to call you a friend. God bless and keep being awesome (and maybe let me win an argument against you once ffs >:((( ). 

 

@Hamtaro @Coven thanks for putting up with my shit and giving me a shot in the first place, one of the most patient people I’ve met and hope that the division, as well as yourself in regards to your own life keep going good. 

 

@Roy thanks for making this joint, it’s quite obvious that without you, I wouldn’t be writing this, as well as answering all the questions i had about GFL. God bless and stay safe.

@carcalilly @rxg JOE FUCKING BIDEN I know (well hope) I’ve told you two this multiple times over but seriously, thank you for everything, I probably wouldn’t of kept playing on GFL initially and as long as I have been if I didn’t meet y’all.

 

Second lastly, @Knives.

I understand that most people right now would cuss people like you out and all that shit. Honestly though, thank you. Thank you for acting the way you did, thank you for showing me all the things I shouldn’t ever do or say. Thank you for being a model detailing all that I shouldn’t ever aspire to be. I wish you nothing but the best in life, I hope you have a stable job, that you’ve found someone who you’re happy with, and that you’ve changed for the best. I pray that these things happen to you.

 

Finally, if you’re not in this list, don’t take it in the wrong way. I probably would exceed the word limit and would have to write a long ass list noting all ~500 people I’m thankful for and why. Bottom line is that you know who you are.

 

For everyone on the server, god bless y’all the most. Never in my life have I met so many strangers and had so much fun with them. Never in my life has my opinions, like those to do with LGBTQ+ and respecting others been challenged and changed for the better. All of you, from those all the way back in 2020, to those who I’ve just recently met, no matter yer hours, text chat or vc, age, whatever the fuck it may be, y’all have been my inspiration to make everyday a great day. 

 

One afternoon, on March 21st, 2020, I decided to play some TF2 after school. I clicked on a random ass 2fort server. Few days later, I joined the discord, and that was the first time I’d ever gone on the internet, never since then, have i regretted what I did that day.

Now, I’ll take my leave. If you read all this, I applaud your dedication and appreciate it.

Thanks for all of your help and input all of it was very valuable.  Your time here wasn’t for nothing we all got to have and meet people.  It’s an experience you can’t take away or lose out on.  It might not be tangible neither something like the college experience, but I still think it’s a good one and you’ll be reflecting on some joyful moments or learning experiences here too.  Thanks a lot 🙂

Sounds quite imprecise to me. From what I can tell, you've made some good friends and developed some positive attributes over the course of you being here. I've seen so many people come and go, and I imagine the lasting impressions they have from the community and its members are resonating with you right now. This is the kind of thing we've been trying to cultivate for years, after all.
