Hey everyone, @Salad, @Trigger, and I would like to announce the first ever

GFL MEME COMPETITION!

 

This competition is unlike any we've ever had before!

For this competition, we ask that anyone and everyone in the community participate!

 

What is this event?

We wanted to make an all inclusive event where the community makes some fun memes, which to our knowledge has never been done before.

You, the GFL community, will submit some cringe/god tier memes with a little story to go with them, and we will decide the winners!

 

The requirements are pretty simple:

• Be at minimum a GFL Member (Not a member? Apply here!)
• Participant’s story and meme image must be SFW and not pornographic/inappropriate
• Stories must be at least one sentence long (Although longer stories might get you a better score), up to a paragraph. (A paragraph is 3-5 sentences)
  • This "story" can be as simple as explaining the context of the meme in a fun way, to an elaborate and involved meme.
• Stories must be original content, NO PLAGIARISM
  • Your stories can follow a template if you're emulating a common meme.

Example of a good submission:

 

The Writing Team awaits it's entry to the great beyond, joining some of the greatest of all time.
Trigger, Dragoon, and Bue are seen solemnly walking up the stairway to heaven.

Billy Mays and Club Penguin welcome them into their arms with love.
The Writing Team is no more, but they live on.

 

 

How are we going to judge this competition?

 

• The GFX and Writing teams will both come up with numerical scores on their respective sections of the meme (Maximum score from each team cannot exceed 5)
• The scores will be combined to reach the meme’s total score, and the user who receives the highest score will be first place. (In the case of a tie, the two memes in question will be re-evaluated and compared to decide which is the god tier meme.)

Event Rewards

• First, Second, and Third place will receive a badge on the forums
• One month of VIP for 1st place
• One month of Supporter for 2nd place
• Forum badge for 3rd place

Meme submissions will be accepted from Sunday, Oct. 4th (today) through Sunday, October 11th, 12pm EST (a week from today)
