Haxray's Resigning from Server Manager post

Hey folks. This is a hard decision to make, but I feel it is time. I didn't think I would, but honestly recent events have made me decide on this. 

 

Chan is doing a fantastic job, better than either Me or Duc. Honestly it kind of sucks he got the position after the Blacklist incident which severely hurt our player base. But he knows more about lua than me, can code more than I can, and has been the one doing everything as of late. I was originally fine with just settling back with a more "paperwork/management' situation, handling the forum suggestion purge and stuff like that, but even that material has dried up.

 

Ontop of this there is a bit of a ticking time bomb situation with my computer's storage space. My Pc didn't even have enough space to help work on decompiling and updating the content packs, which is also going to start hampering my ability to edit stuff for Breach. There is just so many files and content, and I've been having trouble getting upgrades for it due to how 2020 has gone.

 

And then there is the matter of the fact I got a full time job now working from home and everything, and with the way things are going, its looking like i'll be working from home for a while now. While it doesnt directly impact my ability to serve as a manager or edit files, but the hours I work(1:30pm to 10:00pm, Monday to Friday) heavily impact my ability to get on the server when players get on, and I'm not able to simply afk while I work either for various reasons. So i usually can't get on with a large amount of players(or sometimes with any players at all), and to be honest I always enjoyed Breach more the more players there were in a round. Breach just isn't as fun with small player counts. 

 

Basically I feel like my job is done and I've done everything I can for the server. Its up to Chan now and whoever he gets to replace me, if anyone. Good luck everyone. It was a fun 2-4 Years.

@Teri Its been a long time since you were on the server or active in GFL in anyway, and I know the chances of you seeing this is slim, but Im sorry for how much of an annoying piece of shit i was towards you.

 

@Marshal Thanks for sticking around as long as you did back then even after Teri left.

 

GunSlinger  Honestly i don't remember what you changed your name too last, and i'll forever remember you as gunslinger. Also hasn't been around for a while. You might have come back from your first massive break a different person that may have been one of the major reasons for the changing of rules regarding what sprays were allowed and ungodly annoying, but you were a cool dude before that and I miss those times.

 

@KaitoKiriyama For being a fantastic staff member, and for the sheer amount of Voicelines and other stuff you helped provide the server. A lot would have not been the same without your help, and a massive thanks. 

 

@Doomnack @Lipquip Even with everything that happened, thank you for every bit of help you provided the server.

 

@Keisuke4321 Sorry your account got hacked and everything that happened. You were one of the longest lasting staff, and great to play with.

 

@Ikus Special massive thanks for the help you provided sorta recently. 

 

@strawberry crab I don't blame you for wanting to dip after the playerbase dropped. 

 

@Aquaticfilly0 You were always great to play with on the server. 

 

@Carthing2 Guess you've managed to outlast me in avoiding a discord ban for some of your posts. Lucky.

 

To the Remaining Staff: Thank all of you for the work and time you put onto the server. It would have never been the same without you.
