It has come that time where I find myself on a crossroad, and where I have to make a dedicated decision for what’s next. And for that reason, it is with my deepest heart that I will be officially resigning from my position as GMOD TTT Rotation Server Manager.

 

There are mainly two reasons as to why I chose to resign now. The primary reason being that I'm about to start a new chapter of my life. During my 3 years on Rotation, I have graduated from high school and completed two years of community college to get into one of my dream schools. The quarter at my 4-year college is about to start this week, and so it's actually a surprise that I've chosen to delay my resignation until the very end. I want to be able to pursue my degree (Computer Game Design) and focus on other things, such as mapmaking and video editing for my free time, since I feel that I have achieved everything that I've hoped for of the server.

 

The second reason I've chosen to resign is because despite my predecessors having retained the role but were "hands off" while Server Manager, I can't allow myself to do the same thing. Many people know me to be active and for having a strong devotion to the server. But lately going into 2023, my love for TTT has finally declined. It's something I've always anticipated, because in the past I used to enjoy playing TTT every year for a few days before going back to playing something else. My time on Rotation was an exception, keeping involved for these 3 years. But recently I haven't been getting on too often or as much as I did before. So I think it's important that I leave on a high-enough note instead of become known as someone who's not there for the server.

This post of course can’t be a proper send off unless I tag a billion people here. And given my appreciation for a lot of folks here, well it’s safe to say that there are many that stand out. So many of you have helped shape my journey here, and for that I would like to mention you, whether it be good or bad. (This list be long, so here it goes.)

•  Funny folks @pehnicholas @ilikecrabs @Admiral Chin Chin @TheOneOnlyHero @Mystaldi @SOHSUH @DECKSTERRR @VilhjalmrF @Lime @Emx @Zentias @reme leader 049  @Fluffy Goff @Doorlock You guys are some of the funniest people that I've met on the server and I love putting you guys in my content. You've also all been a pleasure to play with as well and to just chat about whatever.
• @Bloopers @MoldyToaster40 Although we've not had the bestest of relationships due to certain behaviors, you've helped me become a better admin overtime and even sometimes we'd be able to have some laughs.
•  @MythicalGrubbin I've known you for quite a while, and although the track towards today wasn't the straightest, I'm glad to see you finally developing into a better person and it's funny to think that I enjoy chatting with the little shit I used to know before. From chatterbox to respectable.
• @aerdop My favorite RDMable person, we've been through thick and thin, and you've always been there for a good laugh and a good time.
• @NorthernBear I miss you dearly Northern, and you've always been such a positive person to be around. I hope that I get to play with you again whenever you're free.
• @Tomievader You've always been committed to the bit, and I've always liked you for that. You really bring out the roleplay aspect of TTT whenever I play with you, and we could just be joking about the stupidest stuff possible but it'll always make for good content.
• @Jhay Moon I know we don't talk too much, but I've known you since I first started playing on Rotation, and your approach to dealing with the server and drama has always been admirable. "Just play the game" is the easiest way that I see it, and by adopting your approach to Rotation, I've become someone who cared only about the server and not much of the issues regarding it. Thanks top dog.
• @Baphomet Your skills are so goddamn good it's unbelievable, to the point that the only time I have a chance is when I play GMOD or CS against you. You've always been down to clown alice, whether it be a last-minute before season end R6 session or staying up until we finally get a win.
• @Dumpy Grimbo Although we never got to make that map together, I'm glad I was able to chat with someone on the server who shared the same passion for mapmaking with me. Hope to see more of your maps, and that your family is doing well.
• @Misery I know we don't talk anymore (like we used to dooooooo) but the times we did I had some good talks with you about whatever and it was nice to share server stories with each other. I think it's better that we both move on from our separate paths, but I wanted to mention you because you did have an impact on the time I had with Rotation.
• @Adversary You gave a lot of good advice and understanding behind the server politics and previous drama that befell of Rotation. Thank you for putting a lot of trust into me, and I'm glad that I got to know you well.
• @BestKevin I know we didn't see a lot eye to eye, nor do I really agree with all of your practices. But you gave some good guidance on programming when I first started managing the server and it was nice to have civil discussions with you and to get the chance to talk.
• Ballhack Squad: @Slacquer @DickBallFondler @olliemas @Dink and special shoutout to the extremely funny men @BluHoser and @CobalshMcGee. You guys really helped me become acclimated and accepted within Vanilla when I would come play on the days that Rotation was down. Getting to chat with guys about whatever is really nice, and you're all extremely friendly. 
• @iLoveNapalm In one reality, we'd both be going to UC Irvine and rooming together. Sadly our paths may not have fallen that way, but Napalm you are just a charming and wonderful guy to be around. It's no surprise that you got Rotation's vote for CR when you ran. I know I may see a little differently on how things went down, but I can always say that for certain I'm glad you found a place on Rotation, and you damn deserved that election. Stay wise and keep calm, Napalm.
• @lizzeroni What type of friend would I be to not tag you? You were the first person to friend me on the server, and like always, I'm a proud member of the liz simp club of 2020. I know you've been busy lately, but it's always been great playing games with you, and I hope you're doing great.
• @Not_MC_MilkMan If you were Rotation's Jesus, than I would be your greatest apostle. I've followed you through thick and thin and you've always been one of my favorite people to have met on Rotation. Without you, I don't think me could've happened. You gave me something to believe in, something to keep joining for, and to allowing me the opportunity to get to know and meet everyone on Rotation. Our dearest Testicle Salesman, you will go on as a martyr for our server and shaping the course of everything that came together for it.
• @Marshalmaniac It's come a long way since I've known you Marsh. From your troublemaking days on Vanilla, to getting to find the comfort of enjoying the people on Rotation. You've truly earned that character arc, and I'm always pleased to hear stories about your real life and how you're faring. Even though I may no longer get on, I hope that you inspire people to do so too.
• @JuicyBenny We've had our ups and downs, but working with you during your unbanned era was crucial into making me who I am today. Your passion and love for the server is unmatched, and you've always wanted to see what the next thing was, which is admirable. Sure things didn't pan out to be the best, but you've always been a good person deep down Juicy, and I hope we get to chat still every now and then. 
• @ThatWaluigi Thank you for being a good code monkey who could get done what I couldn't at times. Whatever stupid thing you're up to is entertaining, and I hope you do well in school even if you don't think you're the best at it.
• @Yogpod Sometimes I genuinely wonder what it's like to be so successful and accomplished at your age. You've done so much for keeping Rotation up and managed, and you've always had a chill presence whereever you go. It's sad to see how Vanilla and Minigames ended up, but I think you've always just needed some direction.
• @Cpt.Haxray I've had good chats with you about our servers and sharing the struggles that we've both gone through to get where we are to now. You and @The1337Gh0st are always doing an amazing job on Anarchy, and so I hope you guys can keep it up.
• @Infra @Joshy You've done your best trying to temper with Rotation's community, and I know it's a struggle, but I appreciate all the help that you have given. Not everyone will get the chance to see who you guys are outside of the rules that you have to run GFL with, but thank you for giving it your all and for being very friendly to work with.
• @DaPainWayne I know some people on Rotation aren't too fond of their experiences with you, I am glad to say that I'm an exception to that group. You've always checked in on me if I ever needed help and you've been a wonderful Division Leader to work with. I wish I had gotten the chance to work with you as DL a long time ago.

• @Captain Blythe Your stories of working at Disneyworld were always entertaining and you gave me a chance to become an admin when you sponsored me (practically the last thing you did before you resigned haha).
• @Duck. I'm only mentioning you because I needed to get this off of my chest, and I don't know if you care or look here anymore, but it's my honest truth. You've always inspired me and gave me a good impression of how to deal with Rotation, but sadly the trouble that you caused with others was what led to your downfall twice. I was too naive to notice it the first time, and I was sad and angry how you treated me the next time around when I didn't sympathize with your beliefs. You projected the problems that you were causing yourself onto me, and blamed me for things that I never did. You were someone I had put my trust into, because you said that you would take my advice and change for the better. Instead, you remained a bitter man til the very end that I know you. I will never forget how much of an inspiration you were for me as a Server Manager, but it's disappointing to see the man that you became. I hope I'm not right about that.
• @Paul. Seeing you rise to Server Manager and getting to work alongside you was one of the many privileges that I had on the server. It's too bad that I wasn't able to work alongside you as both of us being SMs, but You really helped revolutionize and change the server during a time of hardship and for bringing the server to the top.
• @Avi For the times that we did get along to cooperate and to develop the server, I'm happy I got someone like-minded in noticing glaring issues with how the server's rules were and what admins were allowed to do. I know that you've moved on, but I'm glad I got to know you and for the fun times that we did have.
• @Waylon Smithers My favorite Australian man. You brought life to whatever server you touched and made us all laugh. You truly were the heart of Vanilla, and it was never the same once you resigned. I'm happy to have gotten to know you and to have someone that I can shitpost Jerma with. Stay classy, and I hope your schooling is good.
• @Kitty Danger I am so freaking lucky to have met you. I never would've imagined that I would meet someone like you on the server, someone who compliments me well as a person, and I hope that I'm the same for you too. You accept me for who I am, and I continually want to become an even better person because of that. I love you babe.
• @JadedJade When I first knew you on the server, I always thought you to be super serious and rule abiding. But overtime, I've gotten to know more about you as a person, and sure you can't find yourself on the server as active as you'd like to be, you've taken care of it like a child, and I think now is the point where you have to realize that it's time for you to focus on yourself and to put Rotation behind. Keep doing what you do best, Dav.
• @BraeLyn2212 You were the first person I got to know personally on Rotation, and I remember you only really took interest in me at first because I was the "Youtube guy". But I'm glad that I got to know you are, and to support you until you chose to move on. I know it's hard because you wanted to be there for Rotation, but maybe as your friend I should've told you earlier when to resign or to give someone the mantle. Thing's might've not panned out as badly as they did, but whatever happened, happened. And in the end, I wanted to make sure to stay by your side. You mean a lot to me and I glad you're getting the best of what life has to offer. 
• @Kettermelon You've been through a long journey Mr. Melon, and I'm glad that we got to know each other more and more as time went on. Who could've imagined that 3 years ago when I was joking about both of us becoming staff (even though you had already applied then), that you'd be working alongside me at the top. You've always deserved Senior in my eyes, and I know that took a lot of convincing and there was some self-doubt, but you're great at what you do and I always wanna make sure you damn know that. You're a great and fun guy, and I want everyone to know that, under your stern admin demeanor.
• @KeiraJJ Sometimes the littlest of things make the strongest impacts on people. With a simple message of "don't be toxic" on the server, you changed my philosophy to how to treat people online and being kind with everyone around me on Rotation. You really changed me Keira. I have no clue who I would've been had I not met you. Our friendship has been through a lot, and although we find ourselves on different paths, I'm glad to have formed it and to have gotten to know you well as a person. I'm lucky to have found a server repop buddy, partnering Senior Admin and co-Server Manager with you. You deserve the best of what life has to offer.

 

If I could ping every Rotation player, I goddamn would. You guys mean the world to me. You’re the sole reason that I kept playing for the past 3 years, and don’t you forget that you’re the damn reason the server was alive. I can’t say I remember every person’s name, but I try my best in remembering you. It’s something that Mr. Testicle Salesman taught me in my early days, and it’s a tradition I’ve tried to keep up since. Even if I didn't mention you here, we've had some really amazing memories, and that will live on through the moments we shared together.

What’s Next

College. Opportunity. Life. I got maps to catch up on making, years worth of Rotation content I need to catch up on, and a degree to earn. This server has given me a lot and I've given a lot of love to this server, but it's time to move on to my next big thing. So thank you everyone for having to deal with me, I'll miss you all a lot, and thank you all for the 3 years worth of moments that we together on a little server called GMOD TTT GFL Rotation. if you ever wanna keep in touch you can find me @AlphaOwl on Discord. Alpha you really did a lot for Rotation. I don't think there was anyone as committed and driven to provide people with a nice and playable server as you were. You did an outstanding job and I know for a fact Rotation is gonna miss having you as their SM. I saw you mentioned my CR stuff and I really want to say thank you considering you supported me throughout the whole process and it was you and the rest of rotation that gave me the motivation to keep fighting. But, this isn't about me, it's all you. Thank you for everything you did for the server Alpha, I can't possibly imagine what Rotation would've been without you. I know life is gonna take you in beautiful places because you really do have a lot going for yourself, make us all proud, Alpha. I do appreciate your kind and honest words AlphaOwl, it has been quite the journey and a fun adventure. You have done a spectacular job managing Rotation as you made the server thrive due to your commitment, dedication, and initiative to improve up until the end. While I'm sad that the Rotation TTT glory days are now over I'm glad that we met and had much fun online for years on end. I know that you have big plans such as attending a four year college and have a good career which I commend. I wish to see you graduate college, be successful with your career path, fulfill your destiny, and make the most with your life.

 

I recognize that people respond to the winds of change in life which is something I understand, it's something we all do. I know there will come a point where I will move on from Rotation and explore new avenues and take on new challenges. I do believe life will take you in a new direction where you'll get to do great things. I do intend to keep in touch with you since you're a great guy and if you need someone to reach out to I'll be happy to help. You have left a profoundly positive impact on me and that's something I won't forget. Thank you for everything you did on Rotation, thank you for bring an upstanding and supportive person, and thank you for all of the fun times and happy memories.
